Will the state pay €1,000 towards your fitness course?

It is a grant from the Department of Social Protection, paid through your local Intreo office. It pays up to €1,000 in any 12 month period for training that helps you get a job. You do not pay it back.

People whose main payment is a jobseeker payment: Jobseeker's Allowance, Jobseeker's Benefit, Jobseeker's Benefit for the Self-Employed, or Jobseeker's Pay-Related Benefit. People on the Work Placement Experience Programme and people on the Temporary Protection weekly payment can also be considered. If you get a family or children's payment, you may be entitled too. Yes. We are a private education company, and the Training Support Grant is made for private, job-focused training like ours. Our students have used it to pay for their courses many times. Personal training is a real job with real demand, and that is what the grant is for. Your own Case Officer still makes the final call on your application.

No. Public supports like the Back to Education Allowance only cover approved public courses. We are a private college, so they do not apply to our courses. The Training Support Grant is the one that works for us.

Up to €1,000 in any 12 month period. Intreo pays it towards your course fees. If your course costs more than the grant, we have payment plans that spread the rest into small weekly amounts.
